The PMP Exam is tricky. But with the right mindset, it is a cakewalk. What PMI expects you is to develop a thought process also called PMIsm and once you gain that, the PMP journey is way easier.

Due to the rigid process and open-ended syllabus, the PMP might be a little tricky in the beginning but I can vouch – it is worth it. Don’t trust me? Look out for yourself!

Self Confidence

The primary benefit from PMP is the sense of achievement you get that you’re best in the breed, since you had nailed the top most bar in the PM industry. Everything else is secondary. Just like for any mountaineer, the most important summit is Mt Everest, similarly for us Project Managers, is the PMP.

Monetary Benefits

PMP Certified professionals indeed get higher salaries than their counterparts.

As per one of the disclosures by PMI, the PMP certified professionals garner up to 20% salary hike. For more in-depth insights, please refer to the Official PMI salary survey done on over 100 countries.

Respect

The immediate impact you see is: boosted respect you get from peers. Even though PMP does not mean you more than others, it is a well-established fact how rigid the PMP exam is. Hence, once you clear it, the respect from your subordinates and seniors comes along. This adds more to your promotion and other negotiations.

Knowledge

Since most of the aspirants are so indulged in ‘passing the exam’ that they forget the actual focus is to be a better manager. The PMP preparation develops an attitude of PMIsm that helps you to better manage your project, team and resources.
